Website terms

Effective 9 October 2026.

1. Scope

These terms apply to costtoflyprivate.com. The site is run under the Cost to Fly Private name by Charter Jet One, an air charter broker. Using the site or sending a request means you accept them.

2. What we are

Cost to Fly Private is an air charter broker and is not a direct air carrier. We do not own or operate aircraft; every flight is operated by an FAA Part 135 (or foreign equivalent) direct air carrier in operational control of the aircraft. We act for you when arranging charter with certificated operators. The operator runs the flight, and its pilot in command decides on weather, weight, routing and fuel stops.

3. Estimates

Every figure on this site, including estimator results, route prices and hourly ranges, is an estimate drawn from typical market rates. Real prices depend on the aircraft, where it is based, the date, fuel and the operator. No estimate is an offer.

4. Quotes

A quote binds no one until a charter agreement is signed. Before you sign, the quote and the agreement name the operating carrier and give its certificate details. Aircraft and crew remain subject to the operator’s confirmation, and the agreement explains what happens if an operator cannot fly a confirmed trip.

5. Taxes and fees

Quotes are presented all-in: 7.5% federal excise tax on domestic flights, segment fees, and international taxes where relevant. Charges that depend on the day, such as de-icing, extra crew nights or changes you request, are listed with the basis on which they would be billed.

6. Paying and cancelling

The payment schedule, any deposit and the cancellation charges all come from the charter agreement for your trip, so read that document before you sign it.

7. Passengers

You are responsible for accurate passenger names and numbers, luggage details and valid travel documents. Pets fly only with the operator’s approval, and its rules on prohibited items apply.

8. Acceptable use

Please do not send false requests, scrape the site or interfere with how it works. Content here may not be reused commercially without permission.

9. Liability

As far as the law permits, neither Cost to Fly Private nor its operator is liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by an operating carrier, an airport, a government authority, weather or other events beyond reasonable control. Nothing here excludes liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.

10. Law

Any dispute about this website falls under the laws of the United States and the State of New York.

11. Updates

New versions of these terms are posted here and apply from their effective date.
